Each year, America acknowledges its legal legacy with the celebration of Law Day. On May 1st, The Daily Record will join the celebration with a special publication dedicated to the legal profession. The section will provide guest columns, and overview of Western New York’s legal community and a report on how the Monroe County Bar Association and Erie County Bar Association will celebrate Law Day.

Fourteen years ago, The Daily Record embarked upon an annual community awards program designed to recognize individuals and organizations who are champions of justice and community service. Each year the paper hosts an awards event where members of the legal community in Western New York gather to honor our recipients who have gone “above and beyond the call of duty in the name of justice.” This special section salutes those nominees and the community.
